MARSHA J. EAGLIN, M. Ed
Chief Executive Officer

Veteran journalist and media professional, Marsha J. Eaglin, founder of IMPACT Family Center, developed her passion for the Roseland community of Chicago while attending church in the area for three decades. Her empowering teaching/ motivation abilities, passion for helping youth and families, and dedication to making a difference using her expertise in media communications, has touched thousands of lives in the past three decades.
At IMPACT, she is the chief executive officer, editor/ publisher of Our Voice: A Teen’s Perspective, and executive producer of documentaries, public service announcements, and news stories written and produced by youth in connected learning programs.
"I believe that by using media communications, technology, academic enhancement, and unconditional love we can change the community one life at a time".
Eaglin was recently named a 2016 Woman of Excellence by the Chicago Defender, was named Cook County’s Heroine of the 5th District in 2013, and has receive other awards for her youth and community work. She also received journalism’s top honor —the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for her leadership in coverage of the Atlanta Clinic bombings among other journalistic awards. She has worked for FOX News, CBS News, and Gannett Broadcasting.
Eaglin is a vibrant and driven individual known for her dedication and drive to strive to do more and make a difference.

ALLENA ROBINSON, M. Ed
President

Board president, Allena Robinson, is an accomplished professional teacher in the Chicago Public School system for more than ten years. She teaches journalism and English. Robinson is very active with her students by supervising some after school programs and different clubs.
Robinson is a Chicago native, and she is currently pursuing her master’s degree in education to one day become a principal. She holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in English from the University of Missouri Columbia.

KARI MEYER
Vice President

Kari Meyer is currently an associate with StrategyPlus Consulting. Previous, she was an Associate Partner with Accenture where she spent over 18 years in human resources management and developing human capital strategies. Meyer has led and created several non-profit groups and programs including serving in PTA leadership and developing innovation, critical problem solving and global cultural programs for elementary age children. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and resides in Northern Virginia.
