IMPACT Teen News | Digital

Journalism is our main priority here at IMPACT. Through the art of the lens and pen, students are taught the skills they need to be successful. The entire curriculum of print news, broadcast, and research and development of their stories gives them a voice either they or their community may have never had before.

IMPACT Student News allows for teens to explore what it takes to do voice-overs,  on-camera action, and off-camera production. Students transform their written articles into broadcast news stories. From there, they capture the essence of their stories: different B-roll footage, in-person interviews, video call interviews, and more. They learn and utilize the basic elements of movie editing software and graphics design.

What Our Families Are Saying

"IMPACT is doing great things in the community. I especially love that they have nurtured my child's graphic design talent. They also have an outstanding mentoring program. Much respect to Ms. Marsha and her staff!"
